540mLCanned Chickpeasthuroughly drained and washed
2tablespoonCocoa powder
6tablespoonMaple syrup
½cupAlmond milk
2tablespoonPeanut butter
Dark Chocolate ChipsOptional (to top)
Instructions
Drain and thuroughly wash your chickpeas. We don't want any of the chickpea flavoured syrup in the hummus.
In a blender or food processor add chickpeas, cocoa powder, maple syrup and almond milk. Blend on high until smooth. You may need to stir in between to break up large clumps of chickpeas. If the mixture is too dry add 1-2 tablespoons more of almond milk.
Once the mixture has become very smooth and creamy pour into serving bowl scraping down sides of blender or food processor with a spatula.
Gently swirl in the peanut butter and top with dark chocolate chips (optional). Serve with Strawberries, mango, apples, pretzels, etc.
